Disabling Automatic Updates
FireFox tends to break the web driver with each major release (35,36 etc).
We try to keep up with it, but sometimes there will be a few days before we catch up to the FireFox release cycle.
We highly recommend disabling FireFox automatic updates on your dashboard machine to prevent any un-expected updates from breaking connectivity to Dashboard Rotator.
You can do this by:
– Type “about:config” in the address bar, then press “Enter“.
– Search for the “app.update.auto” setting.
– Double-click the “app.update.auto” option to toggle the setting. If set to “true“, automatic updates are enabled. If set to “false“, automatic updates are disabled.
Use The Correct WebDriver.dll For Your Version
If you are having troubles getting FireFox to work with DashboardRotator, you can try replacing the WebDriver.dll file that sits next to the dashboardrotator.exe with one of the following
